Soul Boxes Project

The kids at UUCC recently learned about a group in Portland, Oregon who are interested in creating a ‘massive art statement’ focused on Gun Violence. Following in the tradition of other national art projects like the AIDS Memorial Quilt, they hope to display tens of thousands of Soul Boxes to reveal the staggering number of victims of gun violence in America. A Soul Box is a simple origami box. You can find instructions and materials to create one at the back of the sanctuary by the RE Bulletin board. Please consider taking time to fold a box and acknowledge a life loss to gun violence. When we have filled a box full of Soul Boxes, we will mail them to Oregon so that they may be included in the national display.
