UU Community Church has PRIDE

In-person Pride celebrations will need to be curbed for another year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but Kalamazoo and the surrounding communities are finding new ways to celebrate. To mark Pride Month 2021, OutFront Kalamazoo is inviting people to submit a picture of their Pride Flag for a virtual gallery as a way to celebrate the pride, visibility, and diversity of our LGBTQ+ community and their allies.

UU Community Church is proud to be a sponsor of the 2021 OutFront Pride Flag Gallery. Our Unitarian Universalist principles teach that each of us has worth and dignity, and we believe that worth includes our gender and our sexuality. As Unitarian Universalists, we not only open our doors to people of all sexual orientations and gender identities, we value diversity of sexuality and gender and see it as a spiritual gift. We work to create inclusive religious communities and work for LGBTQ justice and equity as a core part of who we are.

During the month of June, we encourage all of our congregants, our friends, and our neighbors to visit the OutFront Pride Flags Gallery to see what #PRIDE looks like in our community: https://www.outfrontkzoo.org/prideflaggallery While you are there check out the other events OutFront has planned for Pride Month.
