Speaker: Norm Bober

Norman Bober is a long-time student of Tom Brown Jr., whose teachings include physical skills in living on the land and spiritual skills with an awareness of the Sprit that is in all beings. A current book, Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer has reinforced Norm’s understanding of an Indigenous way that includes Spirit in everyday activities, expanding on Martin Buber’s “I-Thou” relationships. Norm enjoys successful involvement with the Senior Odyssey of the Mind program, practices a Taoist style of Tai Chi, and is presently happily performing with a Senior Readers Theater group assembled with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at WMU.
