Autumn is a time for rest, reflection, and renewal and we warmly invite you to a restorative Mindfulness Meditation Retreat on Saturday, November 16th, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
This retreat is part of the Mindful Living series and will be held at the peaceful Unitarian Universalist Community Church, 10441 Shaver Road, Portage, MI. Everyone is welcome.
The retreat provides a time to slow down, destress, and reconnect to your authentic self. We will provide instruction in a variety of contemplative practices that support self-care, self-awareness, emotional balance, and self/other compassion, all in support of enhanced health and well-being.
Our day together will explore:
- Body Awareness through gentle chair yoga and walking meditation
- Concentration and Mindfulness practices
- Effortless Mindfulness to support joy and equanimity
- Compassion practices to support self and other healing
Please bring a bag lunch—we’ll provide coffee and tea to accompany your day of reflection. You may want to bring addition items to support your personal comfort e.g.: light jacket/sweater, blanket, cushion (chairs are available, yoga mat, water bottle, etc. We look forward to your presence as we provide a safe space to rest, reflect, and renew.
Space is limited, so we encourage you to register soon!
