This will be the last of Rev. Beu’s trilogy of sermons centering on Reinhold Niebuhr’s Serenity Prayer. Wisdom is hard to come, it seems, and there is so little of it in our world, especially among our ruling elite. Of course, parents try their best to raise their children with wisdom, knowing that they will make mistakes and they worry about what the children will learn from them. And for all of us, we dearly want to make wise choices to make our lives meaningful and useful such that the world is a little better place simply because we have lived. Rev. Beu will humbly offer his thoughts on the matter knowing deep down that his access to wisdom is limited.
