Speaker: Mary Jo Ebert

Mary Jo Ebert is a long-time social justice activist and community service organizer. A member of Birmingham Unitarian Church since 2001, she has co-led the growth and development of its social justice program and, at present, is VP of its board. She joined the board of

the Michigan UU Social Justice Network in 2019 and, after serving as Chair for three years, was appointed its Director. In her professional career, Mary Jo has worked as a program manager and consultant in the private, government, and nonprofit sectors. She is a member of a large family and a mentor for two 12-year-old boys. She believes that UUism has much to offer for those seeking community, justice, and exploration of life’s questions and can be a catalyst not only to navigate these challenging times but also to thrive.
